Above are homemade $40 skidplates made from 3x3x1/4" angle iron bolted to the body. They should be strong enough to lift the side of the jeep using the highlift jack.

Custom bumper from 2x4x1/4" steel. The Warn XD9000i winch is mounted to a 1/2" thick plate. 7/8" shackles.

Here's my custom rear bumper made with 1/4" thick steel. Also doubles as an airtank for my on board air system.

Here's where the bumper is welded 12" back into the frame.

Don't pay $20 for an antenna mount! I got this 2x4 galvanized joist hanger for 75 cents at True Value Hardware. I clipped away the extra metal, turned it upside down, and now it's a sturdy antenna mount. Also the cheapest upgrade so far.
